Who must pass Advanced Verification
Google's Advanced Verification policy covers locksmith advertisers in the United States and Canada and garage door advertisers in the United States. We start by checking the business category, market, account and the request the owner received.
Our preparation covers the identity the business presents to Google: business records, website, account information and real operations. If you have already applied, the invitation and decision history help us determine whether the work is preparation or rejection recovery.
Advanced Verification and GBP verification are separate
Verifying your Google Business Profile establishes control of the Maps and Search listing. Advanced Verification is an advertising review. A verified profile does not automatically mean the advertising review is complete.
We check both statuses when the owner wants to activate the full Google acquisition system. The same business facts should agree across the processes, but the submissions and evidence requests should not be confused.
The process: application, documents and video call
We review the account and the available application route, audit the business documents and check the website before submission. We identify the business information the owner needs to confirm and the gaps that should be corrected first.
When a live video call is requested, we help the owner prepare a practical sequence for showing the operation. The person attending must have the required access and answer questions accurately. We support preparation; we do not stand in for the business owner or manufacture evidence.
What to prepare for the video call
The preparation starts with your actual operation: premises where applicable, vehicles, professional tools, business records and access controlled by the owner. We review the invitation and build a checklist appropriate to that request.
We check that the name and location shown in the account, website and relevant documents can be explained consistently. Before the appointment, the owner confirms that the device, connection, access and evidence will be available. A rehearsal is about clarity and readiness, not scripted claims.
We work through practical dependencies before the appointment: who will be at the location, which equipment they can access and where the relevant business records are kept. If the owner needs another team member to provide access, that should be arranged in advance rather than discovered during the call.
The checklist reflects the evidence available for the actual business. A mobile locksmith's operation differs from a shop with a customer counter; a garage door company may need to explain its dispatch and field-work setup. We help organize the material clearly, while the owner answers from their own knowledge of the business.
Any proposed website or document correction is reviewed for factual accuracy. We do not ask the owner to change the description of the business to fit a more convenient story. The preparation should make an existing operation understandable, not create a different identity for the review.
How long Advanced Verification takes
Google currently describes a six-to-eight-week timeframe for Advanced Verification. Preparation, missing evidence and follow-up can affect the overall process. We use Google's current guidance when setting expectations and keep the owner informed about the stage the account has reached.
Our California and Florida locksmith cases recorded approval in 14 days. Those outcomes show what happened for those businesses at that time. They are not a two-week service guarantee or evidence that every new account will receive the same decision.
Rejection recovery: fix the underlying mismatch
A rejection review begins with the original submission, decision and any route Google provides for an appeal. We compare the business identity, website statements and operational proof with the evidence previously presented.
The corrective plan may involve document consistency, website clarity or more complete proof of the actual operation. We prepare the appeal around the issue identified rather than repeatedly submitting unchanged information. Approval remains Google's decision.
For a rejected account, send the original application history and decision message before commissioning a new website or changing account details. We first establish what was already reviewed. This helps avoid spending time on changes unrelated to the issue and makes the scope of corrective work easier to understand.
When several records describe the business differently, we ask the owner to confirm the accurate current information. Corrections should follow the real registration, trading identity and operation. We then keep a record of what changed so the appeal can explain the revised evidence coherently.
The project plan distinguishes work we can complete from actions that depend on the owner or Google. You receive the agreed readiness or recovery deliverables and a record of outstanding steps. No agency can promise approval merely because a document package or website audit has been completed.
Using the verification status with Local Services Ads
If the business also uses LSA, we review whether its advertising and Local Services accounts represent the same business and whether the verification status is reflected correctly. Remaining screening or onboarding requirements are checked separately.
Passing Advanced Verification does not by itself configure a profitable LSA campaign. Service coverage, budget, lead handling and booking performance belong to our Local Services Ads Management, Verification & Coaching service.
Preparation or rejection recovery
A new submission needs a readiness review and a plan for outstanding work. A rejected submission needs a history review and a corrective scope. We quote based on the number of accounts, condition of the website and records, and the support required.
Before work begins, you know which document reviews, website corrections and preparation steps are included. Any wider website rebuild, profile reinstatement or ongoing advertising management is identified as its own service.
Common questions
How long does Advanced Verification take?
Use Google's current six-to-eight-week guidance for planning. A specific client may finish earlier or need longer. Our 14-day case studies are individual historical outcomes.
What documents do I need?
We review the request and business setup before specifying evidence. The relevant business registration, licenses, location records and operational proof need to describe the same real business.
Can I pass without a storefront?
We review your actual business model and the applicable request. A mobile operation should be presented accurately; creating the appearance of a shop is not a solution. Eligibility and acceptance are determined by Google.
What happens if I am rejected?
We review the decision and previous evidence, identify corrections and prepare the appeal route available for that account. Repeating an unchanged submission is not our recovery approach.
Do I still need it if I passed LSA background checks?
Background screening and Advanced Verification are distinct requirements. We check your dashboard and the advertising request to see which checks remain.
